Established in 2020, the Short Film Lab is a Community Service Organization that mentors young women to write, direct, and produce original short films from the heart of the Middle East in Doha, Qatar.
We empower female centered storytelling by offering free training programs to Asian, African, and Middle Eastern aspiring filmmakers.
The Short Film Lab offers personal and professional training to young women n Qatar who are interested in the overlap between artistic storytelling and civic engagement.

Weekend Film Challenge (to celebrate International Women’s Day, March 8th) all ages, all genders
To date we have trained 20+ filmmakers in two cohorts, whose films have received 32 official selections at 7 festivals with 2 honorable mentions and 3 awards.
