We’ve talked about covers and the importance of cover design on the blog. With that in mind I share the latest release from media maven and writer Rachel Thompson. Her other books are heavy on what she calls “snark”, smart, sarcastic humor with a feminist edge. Her newest title, Broken Pieces, is a departure from sassy satire and takes a closer look at serious issues like loss, grief, and abuse. More on Rachel next week when we get Inside the Writer’s Studio for an interview. For now check out this cover which does a great job of drawing the reader in to this collection of essays.

Thanks so much for featuring me today, Mohana!
The brilliant author/graphic designer Natasha Brown did this cover. I couldn’t be more pleased with how it turned out.
